Residents and visitors to Deal are in for a real treat this weekend with Walmer’s very first food and drink festival on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June. Taking place on the beautiful Walmer Green between 10am and 6pm, the festival will be showcasing how local produce can be just as delectable as food from far away. There will be smoothie and ice-cream stalls, craft ciders, food stalls ranging from wild food to Madagascan, to flip-flops and fused glass!
Bringing the festival alive is an impressive musical line-up including the Marrables with their quirky, eclectic and fun music who will be playing on Saturday afternoon at 5.00pm. There will be a children’s tent too for the little ones enjoyment with yoga, story-telling and dressing up. Entrance is £2 per person for the whole weekend with entry free for under 18s.
