Deal Regatta and Carnival Week organised by the Deal, Walmer and Kingsdown Regatta Association is packed full of activities and events for the whole family to enjoy. We have already seen the Teddy Bears picnic, Deal Tri 10k road race, swim race, hop scotch championship, raft race and lorry pull take place on Deal’s seafront. The traditional Carnival procession takes place this Thursday 28 July – watch the parade, packed full of decorated floats, journey along The Strand, Walmer and Deal seafront ending at the Marina.
Wednesday 27 July sees more carnival week events including a baby show, glamourous grandmother and yummy mummy competition at Deal Welfare Club starting 1.45 pm (entries on the day). On Wednesday evening, there is the Deal Regatta Bank Buoy Scramble off Deal/Walmer seafront at 7.15pm organised by the Downs Sailing Club.
Throughout the week, Forrest’s Family Funfair is on Walmer Green with fun rides and attractions – 2.00pm – 10.00pm daily.
