Dates: Market opens Wednesday, 12th November

Against the backdrop of the iconic Canterbury Cathedral, the market comes alive with over 70 stalls offering a variety of handcrafted gifts, local produce, and festive treats. Visitors can stroll through the cobbled streets, sipping on mulled wine and enjoying the festive atmosphere. One of Kent’s best Christmas markets, there are plenty of chances to meet Father Christmas, as well as a magical VR Lapland experience that little ones will love. From unique artisan crafts to delectable seasonal delights, Canterbury Christmas Market is a must-visit for anyone seeking the true spirit of Christmas.
Rochester Christmas Market
Dates: Across the weekends of 28–30 November, 5–7 December and 12–14 December
Set within the spectacular setting of Rochester Castle & Gardens, the Rochester Christmas Market attracts around 250,000 visitors from all over Europe and is one of the best festive events in the UK. Located in the historic Rochester Castle Gardens, with over 120 stalls, the market is Kent’s biggest free-to-enter public Christmas Market. There will also be plenty of food and drink on offer in the ‘Bavarian Village,’ too.
Ashford Designer Outlet Christmas Market
Dates: From 1 November to 1 January
Doubling in size from 2024, the Ashford Designer Outlet Christmas Market is set to be one of Kent’s best Christmas Markets, with 21 stalls in addition to all of the designer stores onsite, allowing you to get the best of both worlds for your Christmas shopping list!
Folkestone Festive Marketplace
Dates: From 14th November to 24th December
Featured as one of The Times’ 7 Loveliest Boutique Christmas Markets in 2024, the Festive Marketplace at Folkestone Harbour Arm is a Christmassy oasis of independent stalls, great food and drink, live music and even snow blizzards. There will be a Christmas lights switch-on on Friday 14th November with a switch-on tine of 7pm. For that ‘in-between period’ from the 26th December to the 1st January, there will also be a daily family-favourite Christmas film playing on The Harbour Screen.
Bluewater Winterland & Ice Rink
Dates: From 8th November to 11th January
More of a Winter wonderland extravaganza than a Christmas market per se, the Bluewater Winterland experience makes our list thanks to the 210 stores on-site. Not only will you be able to complete all of your Christmas shopping in one fell swoop, but you can also get into the festive spirit with rides, attractions and treats on offer in the Winterland experience.
Tenterden Christmas Market
Dates: 14th – 23rd November
A 10-day Christmas special set to take over the High Street, Tenterden Christmas Market is an annual event beloved of locals and visitors alike. Expect artisan craft stalls, delicious food and drink and a selection of light switch-on events throughout.
Christmas Market at Pierremont Hall, Broadstairs
Dates: 29th November, 11am – 5pm
Hosted at the charming Grade II Listed Pierremont Hall, the Broadstairs Christmas Market will include a meet & greet with Mr and Mrs Claus along with live music and trader stalls.
Margate WI Christmas Fayre
Dates: 6th December, 11am – 4pm
A festive shopping experience hosted in the iconic Dreamland’s retro Roller Room, the Margate WI Christmas Fayre will bring a mix of unique artisan gifts and sweet treats. A true community event, this could form part of a perfectly festive day out.
