Where to stay in Kent this summer

The charming corner of the UK known for its coastal beauty, rich culture and warm climate, Kent is spectacular in the summer (and, in our opinion, all the other seasons too).

The Isle of Thanet is a postcard-worthy stretch of coastline, home to the much-loved seaside towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate – each with its own unique character, from golden beaches to buzzing art scenes and historic harbours. Further along the coast, the elegant Georgian town of Deal, and the peaceful seaside villages of Kingsdown, Walmer and St Margaret’s Bay, offer a slower pace and timeless charm – perfect for coastal walks, fresh sea air and local food spots.

Over in north Kent, you’ll find the historic market town of Faversham with its winding medieval streets, cosy pubs and lively food scene. Nearby, Whitstable‘s famous oysters and pastel-hued beach huts make it a favourite for weekend getaways. whilst countryside retreats and character cottages around Canterbury offer a more rural escape.
