Hoop & Griffin
In the heart of the historic yet trendy town of Deal is this handsome Georgian townhouse, steeped in nearly 200 years of coastal heritage. Once the residential quarters of a historic coaching inn and later a sea men’s rest house, this characterful property has been transformed into a versatile holiday home, ideal for families or groups of friends looking to explore Deal. Named one of the best places to live in the South East by the Sunday Times, we are confident you will enjoy discovering all that this pretty seaside town has to offer. The house sits in a prime position on Deal’s historic seafront, with the most wonderful sea views. One step up takes you into the house where you are met with the spacious dining room which has doors to the small, sunny decked courtyard area. To your left is the kitchen which also leads to the courtyard garden; enjoy coffee in the morning before the rest of the group wakes. You will also find a cosy sitting room with a gas fire, TV and seating, perfect to relax after a day of exploring the coastline.
Upstairs you will find a second sitting room with seating and views out to sea, the first twin bedroom and a bathroom. The bedroom is at the rear of the house and has a door leading to the roof terrace, so enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before you start the day. The bathroom is perfect for a relaxing soak in the tub after a day exploring but also has a handy overhead shower. On the top floor are another two bedrooms, one twin and one King size and a jack and jill shower room.
While there isn't any parking at Hoop & Griffin you can double park to upload in Griffin Street (small or medium cars) or park up right opposite the house in the parking bays on the seafront. If you drive a little further down the seafront towards North End of Deal you will find free on street parking.
It is easy to see why Deal has been voted as one of the best places to live in the South East, with it's iconic pier, pretty pastel coloured houses, rich history and wonderful restaurants, wine bars, cafes, yoga studios, and independent shops. You can walk all the way along the seafront to Sandwich in one direction or Kingsdown in the other where you will meet with views of chalky White Cliffs. Be sure to stop at the Zetland Arms for a bite to eat at the end too.

Two steps up to the front door;
Enter straight into a dining room which seats eight people comfortably with double doors out onto a small courtyard garden.
Kitchen
Through a stable door on the left is a kitchen, which has been very well equipped with everything you may need during your stay.

First of two sitting rooms with a gas effect fire, large TV and DVD player and views out to the sea.

Main bathroom with a bath and a shower attachment, handbasin and WC.

On the first floor, you will find a second sitting room with wonderful sea views over the English Channel.
Bedroom One
Sleeps 2 - a good size bedroom with two single beds. This room also has access to the outside roof terrace. Please note that this door from the bedroom can be locked (for safety of children) and has railings but should be used at guests' own risk.

Roof terrace with seating. This becomes a real sun trap in the afternoons during the summer months.

Unrestricted free parking on the seafront. You can double park in Griffin Street for a short time to unload the car.
- There are a couple of steps leading up to the front door and the stairs inside the house are steep and typical of an old cottage in the conservation area.
- Towels and linen are provided. Please bring beach towels if you wish.
- Dogs are welcome. Please note additional pet charges are £25 each per stay.
- There is an enclosed courtyard garden to the rear with seating.
- Wi-Fi access.
- Central heating throughout.
- No high chair or travel cot at this property. You would be welcome to bring your own with you to use during your stay.
- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside or outside the property at any time. Please no charging of vapes or e-scooters.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.
- Hen and Stag parties are not permitted.
