Fern Cottage
Fern Cottage is a lovely cottage in the heart of Whitstable, perfectly located for the seafront and the high street with its abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops. The stylish interior perfectly complements the period features of the cottage with the addition of contemporary artwork, soft hues of green and blue, and modern furniture, all creating a charming seaside holiday home.
This lovely former fisherman’s cottage sleeps four guests. On the ground floor is a cosy sitting room, an open plan kitchen / dining room with wood burner. The bedrooms are on the first and second floor. On the first floor is a second seating area with comfy daybed and a handy desk and chair for working from 'home'. Outside, there is a pretty enclosed seaside garden, the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a busy day at the beach.
Whitstable is a vibrant town famous for its working fishing harbour and of course the oysters. It is also a haven for artists – painters, potters, glass artists and many more, all exhibiting in art galleries, open air markets and craft fairs. Live music is abundant in the many friendly pubs and cafes, and the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular.

- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Fern Cottage is well placed in Whitstable, a much-loved seaside town known for its working harbour, creative spirit and relaxed coastal pace. The beach and seafront are close by, perfect for gentle walks along the shore or pausing to watch fishing boats and oyster dredgers against wide estuary views. Whitstable’s compact layout makes it easy to explore on foot, with the town’s character unfolding through its streets and shoreline.
The harbour sits at the heart of life here, surrounded by fish huts, local markets and some of the best seafood spots on the Kent coast. Harbour Street and the High Street offer a lively mix of independent shops, galleries, cafés and record stores, while traditional pubs and oyster bars reflect the town’s strong maritime heritage. Just to the east, Tankerton Slopes provide open green space, colourful beach huts and far-reaching views across the water.
