Copper Fish
Copper Fish is a charming listed former fisherman’s cottage dating back to around 1770, tucked away in the heart of Deal’s conservation area and just moments from the seafront. With its weathered character, exposed beams and timeworn details, this historic cottage offers a wonderful sense of place, balanced thoughtfully with modern comforts for an easy coastal stay.
Arranged over four floors, the cottage sleeps four guests across two bedrooms. The dining room sits at street level, a welcoming space for relaxed meals after a day by the sea, while steps lead down to a compact, well-equipped galley kitchen with doors opening onto a small rear courtyard. On the lower ground floor, the cosy sitting room is ideal for unwinding, with comfortable seating, an electric wood burner and a Smart TV for quiet evenings in. Upstairs, the first floor double bedroom is calm and inviting, with a spacious bathroom just next door, while the top floor twin bedroom sits beneath exposed beams, full of character and charm.
From the front door, Deal’s independent shops, cafés, galleries and pubs are all within easy walking distance, as is the wide pebble beach and promenade. Copper Fish is particularly well suited to couples, small families or friends looking for a characterful seaside base, and well-behaved dogs are welcome too.

Bedroom One - sleeps 2, standard iron double bed, bedside tables and lamps, Victorian Pine Wardrobe and Drawers. Anti-allergy pillows, Egyptian cotton bedding, and cotton towels. Wooden sea chest containing a synthetic duvet, and extra blankets.
Bathroom – Very spacious and light with Victorian basin, toilet and bath with shower over. Airing cupboard with spare cotton towels, and anti-allergy pillows. Hotpoint Washing Machine with Tumble Dryer.
Bedroom Two - sleeps 2, two standard single beds with synthetic duvets, anti-allergy pillows, Egyptian cotton bedding, and cotton towels. Tongue and groove-panelled walls with exposed oak beams and dormer window. Dressing table and stool. Clothes rail.

- Please note: the ceiling in places is low, and care needs to be taken. The stairs are also steep as is traditional in these cottages, so are not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility or the very young.

- As the Cottage is all original, the ceiling in places is low - an average height in England 230 years ago was just over 5ft 6 inches, so you may bump your head once or twice. Also if you're over 6.2ft you won't be able to stand to your full height in the shower...we do have a bath though!
- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.
