Dexter's House is a much loved family holiday home nestled in the heart of the conservation area of the pretty Georgian town of Deal. You couldn't ask for a better location! In fact, you can even see a glimpse of the sea from the bedroom window. Tastefully decorated throughout with everything you will need for a comfortable stay, the house has a lovely family friendly, relaxed atmosphere and your four-legged friend is also welcome. The ground floor has a large, inviting sitting room with a wood burner and a kitchen/dining area with doors out to a lovely sunny courtyard garden, perfect for fish and chips after a day at the beach! Upstairs are three beautiful bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a family bathroom. The house is perfectly positioned between Deal High Street with its artisan food shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and is also a hop, skip and a jump from the lovely long seafront promenade and pier. For guests who enjoy country walks and historic sites, there’s plenty of choice nearby, including both Deal and Walmer castles, and a lovely coastal walk to Kingsdown and St Margaret’s Bay. Golfers are spoilt for choice with the local clubs of Royal Cinque Ports and Walmer & Kingsdown golf clubs. Whilst the championship courses of Royal St George’s, and Princes are a short drive away.?

Upon entering the property you step into the cosy sitting room, housing stylish furniture, a log burner, smart TV (with Netflix) and a large comfy corner sofa - ready for those snug evening's in front of the fire.

Kitchen/Diner

A step down takes you into a light dining area / kitchen with seating for six people.

There are large patio doors from the kitchen to the private courtyard, providing beautiful natural light into the kitchen throughout the day. The well-equipped kitchen is fully fitted with induction hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer - everything you need for preparing home cooked meals for the family to enjoy.

Bedroom one - king size

A good-sized light bedroom at the front of the house with a king size bed - the mattresses on all the beds are luxury Emma mattresses! The room is filled with beautiful furniture and storage with built in cupboards that house plenty of hanging space.

Family bathroom

Carrying on from the landing you step into a large relaxing bathroom in the eaves at the back of the property with a lovely big bath and overhead shower.

Second bedroom - twin bedroom

A light, airy bedroom with a cosy nautical feel. Two single beds and storage space perfect for children or adults.

Master Bedroom (Double) with en suite Shower

A lovely bright master bedroom with a comfy chair by the window to take in the sea views to one side and views of the street on the other - a perfect spot to take time out and read a book. Again this bedroom has been beautifully decorated with stylish furniture, plants and artwork.

A lovely, private courtyard garden which becomes a real sun trap in the summer months!

There are two Echo Dot's in the property - one in the kitchen and one in the master bedroom so guests can listen to the radio/music of their choice in these rooms

Dogs are very welcome for a fee of £25 per pet per stay

Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.

For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.

We had to change our booking from the Pink House to Dexters at last minute because of building noise next door. Weve stayed at Dexters many times in the past but had forgotten how steep and awkward the stairs are for people now in their late 70s. The house is great but wont be staying there again!!

Our family group stayed at Dexters house and a large villa on Golden Street - the conservation area in Deal was perfect for exploring and enjoying the restaurants and coffee shops. There was plenty to keep all ages amused and both houses had great amenities and decor. Keepers Cottages team were friendly and communicative before checkin and during our stay. Would certainly book with them again next time we want to holiday at the Kent coast.

Dexters House is ideally situated for both Deal beach and Deal High Street. It comfortably accommodates 6 people in the 3 bedrooms, relaxing in the lounge and eating at the dining table. It is clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. This is our 2nd stay at Dexters House and we hope to return next year. It feels very homely and we love it.

Booking was a breeze - Amy in the office patiently answered all my questions and sent me extra information on the area and places to visit as wed never been before. Dexters House is a gorgeous 1780s built 3 storey home full of character and beautifully presented. It was immaculately clean, had all the things we needed plus extras that we greatly appreciated like the Echo Dot speakers and the cupboard of board games. We spent most days out and about as we were blessed with warm, sunny dry weather throughout our stay, but the house was a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing or relaxing on the beach. Its so conveniently located, a 2 minute walk to the sea front and 5 minutes into the High Street. Theres plenty to see and do within easy reach - we have more than enough things left for another visit to be justified! Thank you to the owners for creating such a lovely place to stay, and to Keepers Cottages for making it so easy to arrange and always being there if needed. We will be back!

Dexter's house is centrally located which makes everything within walking distance. The house was light, airy, warm, comfortable and clean. The stairs are steep but made easier with grab rails along the way. Both bathrooms were spotless, and the bedrooms comfy. The beach was less than a minute in one direction, and the Saturday market in the other. I would highly recommend a stay hear.
