Lenham House
If your ideal holiday means waking to the sound of the waves and spending your days drifting between the beach and garden, then Lenham House is the perfect home for you. Nestled on Whitstable’s iconic Sea Wall, you are quite literally seconds from the sea.
Inside, the house is thoughtfully laid out over four floors, offering flexible space for families, friends and even your four-legged friends. On the lower ground floor you’ll find the heart of the home: a light and sociable kitchen, dining and living area with a cosy log burner. With doors out to a pretty courtyard patio and a raised lawn, it’s ideal for summer days and evenings. A useful wet room with shower sits on this level too, perfect for rinsing off sand and salt after a day on the beach.
On the ground floor is an inviting king size bedroom at the front of the house, next to a well-appointed bathroom featuring a roll top bath (the ultimate reward after a bracing dip).
On the first floor you’ll discover a bunk bedroom with two full-size single beds, great for children or adults, and a spacious living room with wonderful sea views. It’s a lovely calm space to gather in the evening: film nights, quiet reading, or simply watching the sunset dip over the water. At the top of the house is the attic double bedroom, also with fabulous sea views, a peaceful retreat for grown-ups or teens (note: the stairs are very steep, so best suited to those comfortable on their feet).
Location here is everything. From early morning sea dips, to coffee and croissants on the patio or strolls into town for oysters, Lenham House gives you the full Whitstable experience.

- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Whitstable
Lenham House is tucked away in Whitstable, offering a peaceful setting just back from the seafront while remaining wonderfully connected to the shoreline. A little-known pathway leads directly from the house down onto the beach, creating a delightful sense of seclusion paired with immediate access to the coast. It’s an ideal spot for early morning swims, quiet walks along the shore or evenings spent watching the light fade across the estuary.
Whitstable’s working harbour lies close by, surrounded by colourful fish huts, local markets and some of the best seafood on the Kent coast. Harbour Street and the High Street are filled with independent shops, galleries, cafés and record stores, reflecting the town’s creative and maritime character. Just to the east, Tankerton Slopes offer open green space and far-reaching sea views, with their distinctive parade of beach huts below.
For exploring further afield, the Whitstable Coastal Trail links the town with Herne Bay and Reculver, while the Crab and Winkle Way provides a scenic walking and cycling route towards Canterbury. Whitstable railway station offers direct connections to London, making Lenham House an excellent base for short seaside breaks or longer stays discovering north Kent.
