Pier View

Let's get the negatives out of the way first. We have given a low score regarding cleanliness and condition for two very specific reasons: 1. On arrival at the apartment, we noticed how cold it was. It transpired that there was a problem with the boiler which meant that there was no heating or hot water. This was at 4.30 on the Friday afternoon so we called the office immediately knowing that they were due to close at 5.30pm. The call went to voicemail so we left a message requesting urgent assistance. By this time we had put our coats back on! There was no immediate response so we called again and pointed out that if the problem was not resolved, we would be forced to leave! Soon after we received a call from Jack who advised that he would get to us as soon as possible. He arrived soon after and explained that it was his first time at the apartment but that he was aware that this had happened before. He was unable to correct the fault and so he called their plumber. The plumber was unable to come out but with the help of Facetime, he was able to talk Jack through what needed to be done. It was something to do with the water pressure. Jack was quite nervous about the procedure which didn't fill us with confidence but with the plumbers help, he got the boiler working again. He was very polite and courteous and said that he would be on call if we needed any further help. By this time, we were so cold that we decided to leave the apartment to warm up and we went to a local pub for an hour. Our concern was that if this had happened before then it could happen again. Surely, it should be resolved once and for all? 2. Having returned to a much warmer apartment, we settled in for the evening. My wife decided that it would be a good idea to turn the bed down to air the bedding given how cold the apartment had been. On doing so she discovered a large stain in the middle of the bottom sheet! It was too late to contact the office and we didn't think that Jack could help at this time of the evening so we sent an email to the office with a photo of the stained sheet. It was obvious to us that the bedding was clean but we fail to understand why a housekeeper would place a stained sheet on the bed, albeit a clean sheet. We received an email first thing next morning offering to deliver a clean sheet and Jack also followed up with a phone call to offer the same. By this time, we had slept in the bed so we really didn't see much point. However, the point is that a stained sheet should never have been placed in the first instance. So, not the best start to our weekend away and we really don't think that Keepers Cottages appreciate how this made us feel. All that said, we had a lovely weekend in Deal. The apartment was well located and the view out to sea and across the pier was perfect. It was nicely furnished and decorated. Overall, the apartment was clean. The bathroom was spotless however the oven could do with a clean. It would also have been useful to have a plug for the kitchen sink. Without one it was impossible to wash up our breakfast plates even though washing up liquid was supplied! So we used the dishwasher which was not ideal for such a small load. We would recommend the apartment despite our negative comments which are meant as constructive criticism.

I have stayed at this property four times now - it is so homely, nicely decorated, has great tranquil energy, and an amazing view over the sea. I would happily live here or have it as a second home! Being so close to the high street and two large supermarkets is also super handy. It is a great option for solo visitors and couples.

Professional and friendly company with a big portfolio of properties. I have stayed at a number of their places now and all have been great. My favourite is Pier View in Deal which directly overlooks the sea - it has become somewhat of a home away from home for me now! I definitely recommend booking with them.

We really enjoyed our return stay at Pier View. The flat is in a perfect position with excellent views of the beachfront and with all amenities and comforts. It is bright and modern with every facility for an enjoyable, relaxing holiday. We hope to return again next year as we had wonderful holiday. The sea view from the flat is amazing and we would definitely recommend it thank you

As much as the lovely cottages in Deal are enticing the The view from Pier View is exceptional and the sunsets

The apartment is all about that wonderful view of the sea and pier. We sat for hours mesmerised by it and enjoyed eating fish and chips in the bay window looking out over the sea. My only criticism of the apartment, and why I would be reluctant to stay again, was the noise from the pub next door which is open until 2am on a Friday and Saturday night. The bedroom window is single glazed and overlooks a small alleyway so we had drunk rows in the early hours and were then woken at sunrise by pigeons which are nesting right outside the window. It didn't make for a particularly restful stay. Shame as the apartment is fantastic otherwise, clean and right in the centre of town. We appreciated the milk in the fridge and goodies on arrival.

We stayed for four nights, and especially enjoyed the beautiful view directly over the Deal pier, the luxurious bed, the goodies that Keepers Cottages had left for us in the kitchen. The flat could not be more centrally located, with all of Deal's restaurants and pubs within close walking distance. We highly recommend this location and Keepers Cottages!

I absolutely love this accommodation and this was a repeat stay. Whoever decorated it has excellent taste. It feels homely, bright, calm and I like all the little bits of art dotted about. The location is perfect. Minimal outside noise or from neighbours. The owners are friendly and responsive. Cookies, crisps, milk etc provided on arrival are appreciated. No doubt I will return.

I had a wonderful here and was sad to leave. It surpassed my expectations and I tend to be generally picky! The apartment is cosy in the you feel instantly at home sense. It is nicely decorated with lots of little touches and decorations to give it added personality. I really appreciated there being milk and a few snacks provided as its cumbersome when you arrive at accommodation and have to head straight back out for basic supplies. The view is just fantastic of the sea and the promenade. You can actually sit in the large bay window and watch the world go by. Binoculars are even provided to look at the ships regularly passing by out at sea. The location is perfect, being on the seafront and close to supermarkets and cafes. The hosts made check in easy and provided all the info required in advanced. I appreciated the welcome guide in the property. I will definitely stay here again or at another of the owner's holiday homes :) This was one of my favourite stays if not my favourite!
