Poplar Farm House
Poplar Farm House is a beautiful Victorian detached house that has been lovingly renovated by the owners. Many period features have been retained along with high ceilings, stunning picture windows, decorative fireplaces and wooden floors. The interior is a wonderful combination of traditional and modern, with lovely colour accents and original artwork in many of the rooms.
The house is spacious and comfortable, with a large sitting room, dining room, kitchen and shower room. Upstairs are four large bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside, the large garden is a haven for children to play and explore, with lots of seating for the adults to watch and relax after a busy day exploring the historic town of Sandwich and further afield.
The Georgian coastal town of Deal is close by, with its long beach and pier, and vibrant high street with cafes, restaurants and artisan and boutique shops.
Poplar Farm House is the perfect holiday home for families and friends to relax and unwind.

- There are some uneven surfaces in the grounds of the house as the property stands on a former farmyard so guests with mobility issues should take care
- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.

Poplar Farm House is set just outside the historic town of Sandwich, surrounded by open countryside and wide skies that give the area its wonderfully rural feel. This peaceful setting offers a true sense of escape, while still being close enough to enjoy the character and charm of one of Kent’s best-preserved medieval towns. Quiet lanes and flat landscapes make the surrounding area ideal for walking and cycling, with views stretching across farmland and marshland.
Sandwich itself is a delight to explore, with narrow streets, timber-framed buildings and a welcoming mix of independent shops, cafés, delis and traditional pubs. The River Stour winds gently through the town, offering scenic riverside walks and relaxed spots to stop for a drink or supper. Nearby Richborough Roman Fort adds a fascinating layer of history, while Sandwich Bay provides a wide, sweeping beach backed by dunes and nature reserves.
Golfers are particularly well placed, with Royal St George’s, Prince’s and Royal Cinque Ports all close by. Sandwich railway station offers convenient links to Deal, Canterbury and London, making Poplar Farm House an excellent base for short breaks or longer stays combining countryside calm with coast, history and outdoor pursuits.
