Potters Cottage is a charming, traditional Victorian cottage in the heart of the conservation area of Deal. Just minutes’ walk to the historic high street, with its independent boutique shops and cafes and few more minutes to the wide-open beach front. The cottage is ideal for couples and families with flexible sleeping arrangements. The twin room can be a Super Kingsize bed, and the main bedroom has two folding beds for children. The cottage is full of natural light and is very quiet. Outside is a lovely walled courtyard garden with trees and shrubs offering a tranquil sunny green space away from the vibrant town.

You can park on Nelson Street for free for a couple of hours only. Free on street parking locally. There are streets very close by where you can park for free and plenty of car parks near by too. An ideal base for travellers without a car. Close to station and town centre and beach. We hope to use the house again.

Parking is a problem,we had to park the car about 600 metres away. There should be an instruction how to work the heating. Very suitable for elderly people because of the handrails. Kitchen extremely well equipped.

Potters Cottage is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. However, as there is no door from the lounge down to the cellar, the living room and ground floor felt very chilly indeed at night. The second bedroom upstairs by contrast, was incredibly hot for our child to sleep there comfortably. There is a problem with the thermostat. The main thing was that there had clearly been an outbreak of moths prior to our visit as there were moth papers with dead moths stuck on them hung up everywhere in the cottage, which did not feel very hygienic at all, and it was a worry about unpacking clothes into cupboards. We did not expect this outbreak and it made us feel uncomfortable. It is great that there are x 3 WC's for families. However The flush on all 3 toilets was extremely weak and sometime did not work.

Cottage is larger than many in Deal/ Walmer conservation areas. Clean with all required facilities. Good location and ideal base for a mini-break.

Clearly a much loved home, rather than just a holiday rental. Extremely well equipped - an excellent choice for a couple or a family.

A gorgeous homely cottage. Excellent location for the High Street full of independent cafes and shops and easy access to the seafront. The cottage is extremely well equipped with lovely touches such as battery candles in lovely glasses, interesting books and magazines. The kitchen has everything you could wish for. The lounge is very comfortable as are the bedrooms with very comfortable beds. A warm, cosy delightful cottage.

This is my fourth Summer visit to one of Deal Keepers Cottages. My second visit to Potters delightful cottage. Feels home from home as soon as I enter as so familiar with cottage and pleased to find everything the same. As good weather was able to enjoy little garden, with sitting area, cushions etc. Thank you for the thoughtfulness for your guests - plenty of towels, hand wash, tissues, lots lu rolls, kitchen cleaner/utensils etc - all little touches adding to happy stay. Having lived in the area for many years - it was good to catch up with old friends and their now extended family and enjoy meals out in all the good restaurants in Deal, Kingsdown and Sandwich. A beautiful house, very home from home feel. The location is perfect. Would love to return again to both this house and Deal. We were very lucky with the weather too!

Potter’s Cottage is set in the heart of Deal, a much-loved seaside town on Kent’s Coast, known for its relaxed pace, elegant Georgian streets and welcoming atmosphere. The seafront and beach are within easy reach, ideal for morning walks along the pebbles or quieter moments by the water as the light changes across the English Channel. Deal’s compact layout makes it easy to explore on foot, with cafés, shops and the shoreline all close at hand.

The town’s award-winning high street is a particular highlight, offering a vibrant mix of independent boutiques, antiques shops, bakeries and well-stocked delis.
