Rabbit Hole is set in the small rural hamlet of East Studdal, just outside Dover, offering a wonderfully peaceful countryside setting surrounded by open fields and rolling farmland. This quiet corner of East Kent feels delightfully removed from everyday life, making it ideal for those seeking calm, space and a slower pace. From the doorstep, country lanes and footpaths invite gentle walks through the surrounding landscape, with birdsong and big skies as constant companions.
Despite its secluded feel, East Studdal is well placed for exploring the wider area. The historic town of Dover is a short drive away, home to the iconic Dover Castle and dramatic White Cliffs, while nearby villages offer traditional pubs, local produce and welcoming places to eat. The coastline is easily reached, with bracing seaside walks and far-reaching views across the English Channel, and the quieter beaches of St Margaret’s Bay and Kingsdown close by. For days out, the historic city of Canterbury is within a comfortable driving distance.
Dover Priory station provides rail connections to London, in just over an hour and a half, making Rabbit Hole a superb base for short countryside breaks or longer stays combining rural tranquillity with Kent’s rich coastline and heritage.
