Tally Ho sits right in the middle of Middle Street, one of Deal’s most characterful and well-loved streets, placing you at the very heart of town life. From here, the seafront is only a short walk away (less than 2 minutes) making it easy to dip into early morning walks along the sea or wander down to the promenade as the day unfolds. Everything feels close, walkable and effortlessly connected.
Middle Street itself is a destination in its own right. Below is the high street, lined with independent shops, antiques dealers and local favourites. Middle Street Coffee sits at one end for an easy start to the day, while The Ship Inn remains a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike for relaxed lunches and evening drinks, placed in the middle of this historic street. The other end offers Sandown Castle, which leads onto beautiful walks along the beach and Royal Cinque Ports Golf Course.
Deal Pier is always worth a visit for classic seaside views, while Deal Castle and Walmer Castle add depth and history just beyond the town centre. Deal railway station also provides direct services to London, making Tally Ho an ideal base for both short breaks and longer stays.
