The Hide
The Hide is a beautiful holiday home in the heart of the Deal conservation area. On this quiet street, one row back from the beach, behind large wooden gates, unfolds this hidden gem. It is a detached modern house with every luxury you could ask for including a private driveway with parking for two cars and a hot tub in the landscaped, walled, rear garden. The rear garden also provides a direct access leading to Beach Street and the promenade.
The interior design is tasteful, with gorgeous neutral coastal tones of greys, blues and greens, a fun and eclectic selection of artwork, stylish furniture, and modern appliances. The light and bright open plan living space comprises a modern kitchen with large island unit, a dining area and a sitting area with large sofas and an open fire. Three sets of French doors open out onto the rear garden, creating a wonderful inside/ outside feel There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, one of which is ensuite.
The Hide is perfectly positioned between Deal High Street with its artisan food shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and the lovely long seafront promenade and pier. For guests who prefer country walks and historic sites, there’s plenty of choice nearby, including both Deal and Walmer castles, and a fabulous coastal walk to Kingsdown and St Margaret’s Bay. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a number of championship golf courses.

Private gated driveway with parking for two cars. Please be aware that Brewer Street is narrow in places and care should be taken when driving down here, especially if you have a large car. If you have more than two cars, we recommend parking along the seafront, where free on road parking is available past the rowing club. Free parking is also available north of Alfred Square at the northern end of Deal.
While the property has not been specifically adapted for guests with accessibility requirements, it does offer the benefit of ground floor accommodation, including a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor level. Please be aware that there is one small step by the front door, which can be seen in the exterior photograph.

- We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
- Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
- Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
- For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
- Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
- Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Infants are very welcome; however, please note that the property has not been specifically equipped with infants in mind. One travel cot and high chair can be provided upon request at the time of booking. Please be aware that cot linen is not supplied. Kindly also note that there is a hot tub in the garden, therefore extra care should be taken and young children must be supervised at all times.
The Hide is a seconds (50 yards) from Deal's seafront - you can see a glimpse of the sea from the bedroom window. The high street with independent shops, restaurants, bars and cafés is 100 yards in the other direction. You couldn't ask for a better base for exploring Deal. There are convenience stores on the High Street (2 minute walk) or Sainsbury's and Aldi are just a short 5 minute walk from the house.
There is a Nespresso coffee machine in the kitchen, and you will need to bring pods with you. The machine takes the small Nespresso pods, which can be purchased from most Supermarkets.
The house has good, reliable WiFi if you need to log on to work during your stay. There is a desk in the twin bedroom upstairs too, if you need to shut yourself away for some quiet time.

The Hide is tucked away in Deal along the charming winding Brewer Street, offering a wonderfully quiet retreat while keeping the best of the town within easy reach. This peaceful spot feels gently removed from the busier streets, making it ideal for slowing down and enjoying a more relaxed pace, yet the seafront is still only a minutes walk away. It’s the kind of place where mornings begin calmly, before stepping out to explore at your own rhythm.
Within minutes, you can be wandering Deal’s pretty streets with its beautiful Georgian architecture and vibrant town centre, where independent shops, antiques dealers, bakeries, butchers and local delis sit alongside cosy cafés, wine bars and welcoming pubs. The pebble beach invites easy seaside walks, while Deal Pier remains a focal point for taking in wide views across the sea. Deal Castle and Walmer Castle add to the history just beyond the town centre and Walmer Castle has wonderful gardens to explore - especially good if you have little ones.
When you’re ready to venture further, coastal paths lead north towards Sandwich Bay or south to Kingsdown, offering scenic walking and cycling routes with open skies and sea views. Deal railway station (5-10 minute walk from The hide) provides direct services to London St Pancras in just over an hour and a half.
