The Old Cherry Barn is set just outside Faversham, nestled within a working cherry orchard where the surrounding countryside feels calm, open and deeply rooted in Kent’s farming heritage.
This peaceful rural setting offers a real sense of escape, with orchard rows, open fields and quiet lanes shaping the landscape around you. It’s a place where days begin slowly, with birdsong and space to breathe, yet without feeling isolated.
Faversham itself is only a short drive away and is one of Kent’s most characterful market towns, known for its historic streets, independent shops and strong food and drink scene. Britain’s oldest brewery, Shepherd Neame, sits at the heart of the town, alongside excellent cafés, pubs and restaurants that champion local produce. Regular markets bring the town to life, while nearby Oare Marshes and the Swale estuary offer beautiful walking routes and wildlife-rich landscapes The North Kent coast is easily reached for day trips to Whitstable and Herne Bay, while Canterbury offers culture, shopping and dining beneath its famous and historic cathedral.
With countryside, coast and town life all within easy reach, The Old Cherry Barn provides a wonderfully balanced base for short breaks or longer stays, combining rural tranquillity with effortless access to some of Kent’s most rewarding places.
