The Old Slaughter House is a charming 19th century barn conversion set in the North Kent Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the peaceful village of Throwley near Faversham. Surrounded by open fields and woodland, this rural retreat offers peace and quiet while still being perfectly placed for exploring the best of Kent. The historic city of Canterbury and the popular seaside town of Whitstable are both a short 15 minute drive away, making this an ideal base for exploring. The barn has been thoughtfully converted to provide comfortable accommodation. Inside, comprises of a spacious living area featuring an impressive oak vaulted ceiling, a cinema screen with surround sound for cosy evenings in and a lovely ensuite double bedroom. There is underfloor heating throughout, and additional sleeping space with a comfortable double sofa bed in the living area, making it suitable for couples or a small family. The well equipped kitchen includes everything needed for home cooking, with an oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and large fridge/freezer, along with a dining table and chairs. Outside, guests can enjoy a decked dining area with a gas barbecue, perfect for summer evenings. The wider grounds include access to a tennis court, and an outdoor heated swimming pool is available during the summer months. Guests also have private use of the hot tub all year round. A welcome basket is provided on arrival, adding a thoughtful touch to the start of your stay.

Living Area

Open plan living area with kitchenette at one end, with dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, oven, induction hob, large fridge/freezer. There is a fold out dining table, seating four. There is also a large corner sofa (which can turn into a sofa bed), a big cinema screen and surround sound.

Double bed, chest of drawers, table mirror, en suite with walk in shower, WC and basin.

A decked area with outdoor dining table and chairs (6 people), parasol and a gas BBQ. Shared access to Tennis Court, heated outdoor Swimming Pool, and lawns. Private use of the Hot Tub.

For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please note quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am. Please be respectful to neighbours.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.
Please ensure that the BBQ is cleaned on your departure.
